Reeds Jewelers is looking for a detail-oriented entry level Inventory Specialist to join our team at the Corporate Headquarters in Amherst, NY. The ideal candidate would be willing to learn and adapt in a faced paced environment while keeping organized, working well with others and maintaining trustworthiness due to the confidential nature of the business.
What Will Be YOUR Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
· Balance inventory based on sales reports within each store, and generate transfers of under stock that inventory has for replenishment.
· Create a pack slip for all transfers from inventory which need to go out to stores that day and keep a log of every pack slip/quantity of transfers on each pack slip.
· Keep track of every inter-store transfer going between stores.
· Prepare the driver with everything he needs according to his set schedule and ensure that all of the counts are correct according to the log you keep.
· Managing relationships with vendors.
· Giving each piece a new PLU if not already existing.
· Create purchase orders for each piece and track them to be sure they get to the store in time for the customer’s request.
· Matching purchase orders with pieces coming in from vendors ensuring that everything is correct in the computer and that it is the correct piece based on the order.
· Making sure that the pricing is correct before the piece goes to be received.
· Receiving in transfers from the stores to inventory, being sure that everything listed on the transfer matches what was actually transferred.
· Receiving in customer returns and inspecting them to be sure that they are store-ready. Then deciding where the return should go, based on past sales and current stock balancing.
· Tagging of new merchandise for stock that was received and being sure that they match the transfers going out to the stores.
· Assist manufacturing & design studio with data entry.
